Getting to SABC

Foot and bike

A towpath runs the length of the canal starting at Fountainbridge (city centre) to Falkirk. Both pedestrians and cyclists (National Cycle Network route 754) use the towpath, so be careful going round the corners.

Bus

Lothian Buses 10, 27 and 45 stop at Meggetland Terrace. From there, cross the Meggetland footbridge and the boathouse is located adjacent to the footpath at the bottom of the steps.

Car

From Edinburgh City Bypass, Hermiston Gait roundabout, follow A71/Calder Road, Longstone Road, Craiglockhart Avenue and Colinton Road to North Meggetland (on left)

From Edinburgh City Centre, follow A70 to Harrison Road, Take Polwarth Terrace to Colinton Road, at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Colinton Road, turn right to North Meggetland after 300m.

Parking

There is parking available directly across the road next to Boroughmuir Rugby and Community Sports Club.
