Rowing For All

 

For those who are new to the sport but looking for a pathway to other squads or for those who enjoy rowing at their own pace, a flexible way to stay active on the water—whether for fun, fitness, or occasional racing in local events. Training takes place on the Union Canal at Meggetland.

Members may wish to take part in local events such as Inverness Head, Spring Regatta and Nithsdale Regatta.

Learn To Row

 

Our Learn to Row Programmes run between Spring and Autumn, each course consisting of 6 sessions.

A balanced introduction to boats and other equipment.

Following programme completion, you will start in the development group, focusing on building technical skills and fitness. There is scope to move up to the more competitive groups or move to our recreational group for a more relaxed pace.

Training Times

 

Training takes place at our boathouse on the Union Canal at Meggetland. Water based sessions are on the canal whilst land based sessions take place in our boathouse gym.

Training times for this group can fall within the slots below. Some sessions are club-wide, offering a range of levels to mix:
Monday-Thursday: 18:30 – 20:00
Sunday: 9:00 – 10:30
