John Munro, at 75 St Andrew Boat Club’s oldest competing member, raised £3,800 for the club’s new boathouse with his 75-mile bike ride from Bowling to Edinburgh along the canals last year.
With his amazing total John far exceeded his original target of £1,000 target and gave members of all ages something to aspire to when it comes to fundraising.
St Andrew Boat Club marks its 175th anniversary year this year – and is weeks away from from formally opening its brand new boathouse at its home on the union canal – a move that will better enable us to truly offer rowing for all.
