Rowing For All

 

For a competitive group of athletes aged 27+ training to race at competitive masters events. Training takes place at Strathclyde Park and on the Canal. Focused on race performance and sustained growth, the squad trains in a supportive and ambitious environment whilst sharing the enjoyment with others.

Aiming for events such as Scottish Championships, Vesta Head of the River, Henley Master’s Regatta and World Rowing Masters Regatta.

Learn To Row

 

Our Learn to Row Programmes run between Spring and Autumn, each course consisting of 6 sessions.

A balanced introduction to boats and other equipment.

Following programme completion, you will start in the development group, focusing on building technical skills and fitness. There is scope to move up to the more competitive groups or move to our recreational group for a more relaxed pace.

Training Times

 

Training takes place at our boathouse on the Union Canal at Meggetland. Water based sessions are on the canal on weekdays or at Strathclyde Park on weekends. Land based sessions take place in our boathouse gym.

Training times for this group can fall within the slots below. Most sessions are club-wide, offering a range of levels to mix:
Monday-Thursday: 18:30 – 20:00
Friday: 17:30-19:00
Saturday: 8:30 – 12:00
Sunday: 8:30 – 12:00
